Beautiful hand knitted cobweb Christening and wedding shawls, wraps and scarves from pure Shetland wool or gossamer silk, and I also do Fair Isle, Lopi-style and Aran knitting, all from Shetland wool.   I keep a limited stock of cobweb scarves, but most items are made to order, ensuring the personal touch. I only use wool from Jamieson & Smith on Shetland as their wool is all locally produced and is of an excellent quality. Hand knitted products far outlast machine knitting and really is not difficult to care for.  Items should be hand washed in lukewarm water and rinsed in water the same temperature to prevent felting and shrinking. They should be dried out of direct sunlight, preferably spread flat. Knitting Workshops This year I plan to run a couple of knitting workshops – one for basic knitting and the other for lace knitting.
